I The place

The first DWELL retreat — a small-group gathering at Rio Perdido, a thermal river canyon reserve in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Rio Perdido — “lost river” — is a private canyon reserve where a mile-long thermal mineral river winds through ancient volcanic rock. Dozens of natural pools, each a different temperature, invite long, slow soaks. Above the canyon, a rare dwarf forest; within it, jungle, monkeys, and birdsong.

It sits about an hour from Liberia International Airport — easy to reach, and a world away once you arrive.

II What’s included

Here is what the retreat includes:

    Forest bungalows with private terraces, air-conditioning, and modern comforts — designed to feel immersed in the trees.

  • 02Eat

    Three daily meals of fresh, local food — much of it from La Huerta, the on-site organic garden. Vegan, gluten-free, and keto needs welcomed.

  • 03Move

    Daily yoga and meditation in our private Jungle Shala, fully equipped for practice — plus cliffside yoga pods suspended above the canyon.

  • 04Sound

    Evening sound baths with Tibetan bowls, gong, and chimes — rest for the nervous system under the forest canopy.

  • 05Soak

    Unlimited access to the thermal river and mineral pools, plus the volcanic mud ritual — mineral-rich mud, rinsed in warm river water.

  • 06Cared for

    A dedicated retreat concierge, daily housekeeping, Wi-Fi, a welcome drink on arrival, and coffee, tea, and drinking water throughout.
